Who Are We

We are Yaprak and Temmuz, the wife and son of the late artist Kagan Guner and. We are determined to honour Kagan Guner's Legacy, not only as a loving husband and father, but as an artist, activist and community figure who  bridged the two nations that had a significant impact on his life, experiences and his beliefs, Turkey and the United Kingdom, together.

Starting In 2022, We held a string of exhibitions across Turkey and the United Kingdom, accompanied by children's workshops. We saw the positive difference we could make while carrying Kagan's legacy forward. However, we also knew we could improve, do more, and make an even bigger impact. That is what led us to create the Kagan Guner Art and Legacy Foundation in 2024, as an unincorporated organisation. We aim to expand the scope of our work, promote the Kagan Guner name, and reach even more people, making a difference in communities and bringing people together with art.
